Lori Adelman currently serves as Power to Decide’s Chief Executive Officer, leading the organization to advance sexual and reproductive well-being for all. Lori has spent nearly two decades advancing reproductive rights, gender justice, and health equity.
She previously served as Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Global (PPG), leading staff across 10 countries. Under her tenure, Lori launched the Brave Fund, which provided flexible funding to reproductive health organizations in restrictive legislative environments. She went on to steward the creation of Libera, an independent, Global South-led organization carrying forward PPG’s 53-year legacy.
Earlier in her career, Lori served as Vice President at Global Fund for Women, where she directed external strategy during a tenure that included the fund's transformational gift from MacKenzie Scott. She previously held roles at Women Deliver, United Nations Foundation, and the International Women's Health Coalition.
As a pioneering voice in media, Lori led Feministing.com, one of the most widely read feminist platforms of its generation, and is a sought-after speaker and lecturer. She has been recognized among The Root 100 list as one of the most influential Black leaders shaping culture and policy.
Lori is a graduate of Harvard University and serves on multiple boards, including the Global Justice Center.
